A College Scholarship Fund for Cora Urban

Cora Urban was born February 5, 2009, just hours after her 30 year-old father died of a massive heart attack. Because his condition was considered "pre-existing," Cora's father did not have health insurance which left her and her mother in dire straits. The Lehigh Valley Labor Council has committed a scholarship for Cora of $1,000 per year over the next five years toward her college education. The scholarship will be renewed based on discussions and approval by the Executive Board. East Stroudsburg University has also committed an undisclosed amount in Cora's name.
